By Road
The M4 motorway, the main east - west route in the southern part of the UK, skirts the city providing fast access to London and the South East.
There are motorway connections to the South West and Midlands within easy reach.

By Rail
There are high speed rail links between Newport and many of the major UK cities. London is less than 2 hours away by train, with day-time departures at half hourly intervals. There are frequent trains between Cardiff and Newport at regular 10 minute intervals throughout the day.

For international visitors, Eurostar rail service links London to Paris and Brussels. Motorists can travel to the UK from France using the Eurotunnel service.

By Air
Cardiff Wales International Airport (CWL) and Bristol International Airport (BRS) are approx 40 to 50 minutes travel time from Opal 1 Newport.  Links to Opal 1 Newport from the airports are by bus, train or taxi.
